Leaving Behind Something I Gave Everything To

After an incredibly difficult period personally and professionally, my time at Hammer Distribution has come to an end.

Over the last few years I poured a huge amount of myself into the role, the rebrand, the Enterprise Summit, the marketing strategy and the wider team around me, so this is not an ending I ever imagined after everything I gave to the role and business.

For legal reasons and ongoing processes, it would not be appropriate for me to discuss the circumstances publicly at this stage. What I will say is that this experience has made me reflect deeply on how workplaces understand and support neurodivergent people, particularly when communication styles, social interpretation and mental overload are involved.

Complex situations are rarely fully visible from the outside, and the last few months have taken a significant toll on my mental health in ways I struggle to fully put into words. I hope this experience encourages wider reflection around how quickly people can be judged when context, neurodiversity and mental health are not fully understood.

In time, I hope I’ll be able to speak more openly and constructively about some of the wider lessons that can come from experiences like this.

Despite everything, I remain genuinely proud of the work, creativity, relationships and achievements that came from my time there, including recent industry recognition that meant a great deal to me personally.

For now, my focus is on protecting my health, rebuilding and figuring out what comes next.

Thank you to the many people who have supported me privately over the last few months. It has meant more than you probably realise.
